Growatt APX HV Battery

The APX is Growatt’s current high-voltage modular battery, replacing the AXE and GBL systems. It stacks from 5 kWh to 30 kWh, so it sizes to a normal household at the bottom of the range and to a house with an EV and a heat pump at the top.

Its most genuinely useful feature is module-level energy optimisation, which lets you mix new and older modules with different states of charge and health in the same stack. That is what makes it practical to add capacity to a battery two or three years after it was installed, rather than being told the only option is to start again.
