Charge your car on your own solar

Exporting surplus solar earns you 12–15p a unit under a Smart Export Guarantee tariff. Putting that same unit into your car costs you nothing and displaces electricity you would otherwise buy at around 28p. A solar-aware charger is simply the difference between those two numbers, applied every sunny afternoon.

Every charger we fit reads a clip-on sensor at your incoming supply, so it knows what the panels are making and what the house is already using. Set it to charge only on genuine surplus and it will pause when the kettle goes on and pick up again afterwards, without you touching anything.
